Happy New Year and welcome to Sheffield Music School! I am thrilled to have been appointed as the new Director of Sheffield Music School and can't wait to get started this term. We have all of the favourite, well-loved elements of Sheffield Music School on offer, plus some exciting new projects coming up in the near future-you won't want to miss it!

NOT NEW, BUT AS FABULOUS AS EVER: bespoke chamber ensembles coached by experienced musicians from a wide range of musical backgrounds, theory, aural, composition, choir, sax group, jazz group (playing original works), general musicianship (to include the following on rotation: Bach chorales, realising figured bass, history of music from medieval times to today, alexander technique, improvisation, conducting, and sight-reading).

Here at Sheffield Music School we believe in quality music making in a fun, friendly, and nurturing environment. We support pupils from grade 1 to post grade 8 through their individual musical journeys and pride ourselves in offering a bespoke programme of musical experiences. We are a non-profit making organisation aiming to provide high quality music provision at affordable prices. Pupils can attend the full morning for just £22, part-time (9-10.45 or 11-12.30) for £15, theory only for £12, and juniors for £10. Bursaries are available.

TopTerm Dates

Registration for all students is at 9am. Junior Music School finishes at 10:45am and Senior Music School runs until 12:30pm.

Ensembles for the end of term concerts are arranged well in advance of the concert. Please inform the music director if your child is unable to attend any of the concert dates.

TopJoin Sheffield Music School

Sheffield Music School is open to all children playing at Grade 1 or above. The fees are £10 per morning for Juniors, £22 per morning for Intermediates and Seniors, and are payable every half term. There is a 10% reduction for more than one family member in Music School, and some subsidised places available for those on low income.
